Souvenier time

We always have the boys wait until the end of the trip to pick out one souvenier. This keeps them from asking to buy everything they see. They chose a dino playground and legos.

Breakfast at the Animal Kingdom Lodge

They had an assortment of breads, pastries, cereals and oatmeal. A simple breakfast, but a welcome change to the heavier meals we have been eating.

African Storytelling

Every night at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, one of the cast members from Africa tells a traditional African story. It was a lot of fun sitting around the firepit listening to it.

Boma: flavors of Africa

We had dinner at the onsite restaurant at the resort-Boma. I really enjoyed it, but the African flavors were not for Jackie. Fortunately she was able to fill up on dessert. While we were waiting for our table, the boys enjoyed looking in the gift shop.

Swimming at the Animal Kingdom Lodge

As usual the boys love the pool. It has a zero depth entry and a fast slide. It’s strange but it is a little chilly in the water. Who would have thought in Florida.

Checking in at the Animal Kingdom Lodge

We arrived at 2:30 to check in, but our room was not ready until 3:30 so we just hung out in the lounge. They more than made up for the late check in though. When we got to our room they had upgraded us to a savannah view two bedroom suite. It is amazing!
