We held our Easter service yesterday at the Classic Center in downtown Athens. I was leading Waumba Land for our preschoolers, so I wasn’t able to attend the service. I heard it was great, though. I heard a lot of people talking about how incredible Andy’s message was and how the worship with Ben and Pat was awesome. The place was packed and people were very excited about our big announcement: the Classic Center will be our new home for Athens Church.
Starting this fall, we will be meeting in the theater at the Classic Center. We are very excited about this opportunity. Cedar Shoals High School’s theater has been great, but it is clear that we have outgrown the space. The theater at the Classic Center will provide us with the empty seats we need to continue to grow and lead more people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Here’s a link to the details about the theater:
All of our family ministry environments will meet in the Foundry Street Building. Here’s a link for details about that building. It’s a really cool space.
The details about this move are a clear indication that God is leading us to make this move. So many things have have had to fall into place to make this possible. It seems that we are going to have an incredible opportunity to impact this city in a big way. I can’t wait to see what God plans to do!
